A Rochester Police officer suffered minor injures when an SUV struck the officer's car at the intersection of State street and Allen street.

Officers say the police cruiser was struck when the SUV turned left at the intersection to get onto the Inner Loop.

Both the police officer and a passenger in the SUV were taken to Highland Hospital because of pain.

The driver of the SUV will be ticketed for failure to yield the right of way
