Brisk and Colder Today
Tracking Lake Snow Starting this Evening
We'd like to tell you that starting next Monday the 16th, Weather on the 9s will be moving to Weather on the 1s. That means your weather report will be on at 1 after, 11 after, 21 after etc. We'll still have all of your weather information when you need it, but it will be on the 1s.
Today will be much colder, especially factoring a gusty breeze. Highs will only be near 30, while wind chills will remain in the teens to around 20. There will be breaks of sun with nothing more than a stray flurry or two.
A reinforcing push of colder temps will arrive this evening with some lake snow developing, mainly for areas southwest of the city where a few inches of accumulation are likely. Outside of any lake effect it will just be a blustery night with lows in the teens to near 20. Winds will shift more out of the northwest later tomorrow helping to bring more snow for areas south of Lake Ontario. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 20s. We’ll continue to track localized lake snow into Thursday with highs by then only in the low to mid 20s.
A larger system may try to bring some area wide snow by the time we get into the weekend with colder temps sticking around at least through the start of next week.
Have a great day!
