A pasta dinner benefit for the family of Lieutenant Mike Chiapperini was held on Sunday.

Webster Police 1000 Club PBA and ITALEO hosted the benefit. The idea was thought up during the calling hours for Lieutenant Chiapperini. Donation continue to come in and countless hours from law enforcement and community volunteers went into the dinner plans.

"It means a lot the outpouring of support from the community, not only just in law enforcement, all the different associations, and the public in general coming in to support the families and that this tragedy stuck, It's overwhelming but it shows what kind of a community we represent," said Sean Walsh, President of the Webster 1000 Club PBA.

The donation for adults was $10, $5 for kids.

The dinner raised more than $10,000.

A check was given to Chiapperini's wife Kim at the end of the dinner.
