Livingston County Sheriff's Deputy Under Arrest
A Livingston County Sheriff's deputy is under arrest, accused of promoting prison contraband and receiving a reward for official misconduct.
Robert Schleyer, 32, of Dansville, worked as a deputy sheriff-corrections in the jail division. He's been with the Sheriff's Office for five years.
Schleyer is accused of bringing contraband into the jail and giving it to inmates.
He is free after posting $2,500 bail. He's due in court at a later date.
