Batavia Middle Schooler Brings BB Gun to School
Batavia City School Administrators suspended a Batavia Middle School student after they said he brought a BB gun to school and stored it in his locker.
The Batavia City School District Superintendent Christopher Dailey said administrators searched the student's locker because they thought he brought tobacco to school. That's when they found the BB gun in his backpack inside the locked locker.
Dailey said the student was suspended as part of the school's code of conduct. The district sent out an automated call to parents to try to prevent the spread of rumors.
Dailey said it was just a bad choice by a young child and that he didn't intend to harm anyone.
