Season Canceled at Honeoye Central After Alleged Hazing By Boys Basketball Team
An Ontario County boys basketball team has been forced to forfeit its remaining regular season games after the school found evidence of hazing.

According to Honeoye Central School Superintendent David Bills, some members of the team were found to be in violation of the school's code of conduct.

Statement from the Superintendent of Schools

"We have received evidence of violations of our code of conduct that would constitute hazing by some students participating in an extracurricular sport. We are investigating these matters thoroughly and will take all actions warranted. To date, there have been some suspensions issued and, as a result, some scheduled games have been canceled. We take hazing allegations very seriously and we will continue to gather information and take any necessary actions."
