Supervisor Updates Community on Fire Service For West Brighton
A plan for fire service in West Brighton was discussed on Friday. Brighton Town Supervisor William Moehle told the community he hopes the plan will be approved by March 11th of this year.

The Rochester Fire Department has been serving West Brighton since August 2012.

Moehle said that the town has made progress developing alternatives and working with other agencies. He added that the first priority has been to provide the best fire and emergency service on a cost effective basis.

The purpose of the meeting was to share ideas and get feedback before presenting the final proposal to the Town Board

The town has, at the same time, been working on clearing up a pending lawsuit over the use and control of the West Henrietta Road fire house.
