Man Injured in Crash Fleeing From Police Faces Several Charges
Police in Greece have arrested the man they say suffered serious injuries after he crashed a car while fleeing from officers.
Police said 50-year-old Perry Runion was arraigned Wednesday at Strong Hospital. He is charged with criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Police were following up on the report of a stolen vehicle on Kingsberry Drive on Tuesday when officers say Runion took off. A few minutes later, police received word that the suspect had crashed on Prince Lane.
Police say Runion's car was struck by a flatbed truck, which caused the truck to veer off the road and into a house.
Runion is due back in court on Friday to answer to his charges.
