Gannett Building in Downtown is for Sale
The Gannett Building on the corner of Exchange Boulevard and Broad Street in downtown Rochester is for sale.
The building has been home to the Democrat and Chronicle for more than 80 years.
Vice President of Marketing for the Democrat and Chronicle Steve Simpson says the newspaper is looking for a new, more appealing modern space to move their operations.
Simpson says the company is looking to stay in downtown and be in a new location by the middle of 2014.
The Gannett Building was built in 1927.
