State Police Warn That Someone is Posing as Police Officer
State Police are asking that people be on the lookout for a fake law enforcement officer in Wyoming County.

They received a complaint from a 21-year old woman who described to them a suspicious traffic stop on Route 98 in the village of Arcade. She said the man was driving a blue sedan with blue lights and some sort of police insignia on the side.

She said the white male with blond hair wore a blue uniform with no insignia. She said he had a gold shield, a collapsible baton and no gun.

Anyone with information should contact State Police.

If you feel like you are legitimately being stopped by someone other than an officer, contact 911 or drive to the nearest station.
