'Webster Provision' Included in Gun Legislation
Part of this tougher gun legislation includes what the governor called the "Webster provision."
That refers to the ambush on Christmas Eve morning that left two West Webster firefighters dead and another two seriously injured.
The bill would make the killing of a first responder a felony of first degree murder punishable with life in prison.
A previous attempt to pass a similar bill called "Mark's Law" that protected EMTs and firefighters had only passed the Senate about three years ago.
