Settlement Reached in Roller Coaster Death
A settlement has been reached in the death of the man who fell out of a roller coaster at Darien Lake in 2011.

Lawyers for the amusement park say a settlement was reached with the family of James Hackemer in November.

It was approved by Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny in federal court last week.

Hackemer lost both of his legs in a road side bomb explosion while serving in Iraq. He was killed when he fell out of a car on the Ride of Steel roller coaster.

The exact amount of the settlement has not been released.

Lawyers say Hackemer's two daughters will be the primary beneficiaries.
