Equipment Malfunction Results in Power Outage
Rochester Gas & Electric says an equipment malfunction near a substation led to a large power outage earlier Monday evening in Monroe County.
The power utility's website said more than 10,000 customers were without power. Most of those outages are in Pittsford, Perinton, and Mendon.
Power was restored by about 9 p.m. Monday.
However, about 1,500 were still without power late Monday night.
