Man Killed After Being Hit by Several Cars in Orleans County

A man from Medina was walking back from visitng his brother when he was hit by four cars and killed in the town of Shelby Tuesday morning.
Sheriff's Deputies say 47-year-old Joseph Tillinghast was walking along Maple Ridge when he was hit by car just before 6 a.m. Tuesday. He was then run over by three more cars as he was lying in the road.
Tillinghast died at the scene.
Investigators say Tillinghast was walking from his brother's house in Middleport when the accident happened. They also said the area has no street lights or any other lighting.
No charges are expected to be filed.
