For the second time in one day, a Canandaigua Academy teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student appeared in court.

Lisa Footer has been charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. She pleaded not guilty to those charges.

She and her lawyer did not want to comment Wednesday night, but her lawyer explained that she was arraigned in Manchester Town Court because she allegedly had sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy on different occasions; both in the city of Canandaigua and in Manchester, where she lives.

Footer was a Spanish teacher at Canandaigua Academy. She's the third employee at the school that has been arrested on sexually-related charges since 2010.

According to the Canandaigua Police Department, the 44-year-old Footer ongoing sexual relationship with the male student. She has since been placed on administrative leave.

Earlier on Wednesday, she was arraigned in Canandaigua. She'll be back in court there January 23rd.

She's expected to be back in Manchester Town Court on February 6th. Her lawyer said hopefully by the then, her story will have been resolved.
