Woman Identified in Farmington Fatal Crash

One woman is dead after a crash Tuesday evening in Ontario County.
This happened shortly before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Payne Road and Shortsville Road in Farmington.
State police say 24-year old Ashlie White of Canandaigua was driving southbound, ran the stop sign at the intersection and was T-boned by a truck heading eastbound.
25-year old Amanda Crow of Canandaigua, a passenger in the car, was killed in the impact that sent both vehicles several feet off the road.
"Obviously it's dark. It's raining out. It's a tough intersection," said New York State Trooper Mark O'Donnell. "I believe both speed limits are both 55 miles an hour at this point until you reach the stop sign. What we believe is that the operator of the passenger vehicle traveling on Payne Road just missed the stop sign."
Troopers continue to investigate why the car ran the stop sign.
