Shooting Near Schools in Geneva Prompts Lockdown
Two schools in Geneva were placed in lockdown Tuesday night while police investigated a reported shooting.
Sporting events were being held at Geneva High School and North Street School when police were called just before 8 p.m. Tuesday about a shooting on North Genesee Street at, or near, Gates Avenue.
According to police, a caller said he heard a gunshot and saw a man who told him he was just robbed and shot. The alleged victim reportedly got into a red Ford Taurus and took off.
Police are trying to locate the victim who they believe was shot in the leg. Officers are also looking for two suspects.
