A standoff at a Batavia rooming house ended without any injuries on Friday after a shot was fired inside the building.
It happened at 218 State Street. Police say they saw a man holding a gun, but that he wasn't pointing it at anything in particular.
It took about 15 minutes of negotiations before he handed over the gun. Then authorities arrested him.
"It appears at this time that he will be charged with at least reckless endangerment. Again, he is being interviewed by the detectives as well. He's cooperating at this point," said Chief Shawn Heubusch of the Batavia Police Department.
Police continue to investigate.
