First Day for HEAP Applications
BUFFALO, N.Y.--Today Is the first day people can apply for for Home Heating Assistance, or HEAP.
The program provides assistance to low income residents who may have difficulty paying their winter heating bills.
The maximum benefit is $650. Benefits are based on income and size of household, and are determined on a first come, first serve basis.
