Teens Arrested for Attica Car Vandalism
ATTICA, N.Y. -- Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with vandalism at a car dealership in Wyoming County.

Attica Police say a 17 year old and 18 year old were arrested for damaging 28 vehicles at Upstate Chevrolet in Attica Friday night.

Police say the teens’ names aren't being released, but say they turned themselves in Sunday night to police around 6:30.

Police say the two smashed windshields, threw rocks into windows, and chipped paint off vehicles, causing around 50 thousand dollars in damages.

Attica Police Chief John Palillo said, "What took place, from what they told us, was they had a full night of drinking. They thought it would be a good idea to go over to the car lot and break out some windows. They didn't properly realize what had happened until the next morning when they woke up. They figured it out that there was more damage there than they had thought. They immediately became scared about the whole thing and didn't know what to do. Luckily, they confined it in an adult who helped them down to the Police Department."

Both teens are being held at Wyoming County Jail.
