Deputies were called to Green Road just after 5 p.m. for the report of a car into a tree.
Deputies say 66-year-old Francis Nicklas, of Perry, drove off the road and crashed into a tree stump.

He was taken to a Dansville hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say Nicklas had been hunting in the area with friends and had only driven a short distance when he crashed.

No one else was in the car.
