Basketball fans flocked to the Second Annual Onnie's Classic at Nazareth College on Saturday to support a good cause.

People watched as college basketball teams went head to head while raising money for the Golisano Children's Hospital.

Admission was $5 for adults and $1 for students with a valid ID.

Two girls who spent time in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit served as "honorary captains".

"During the first year of the event, they were able to raise nearly $3,000 which has directly been contributed to the hospital to essentially provide funds and toys and other entertaining items in the Onnie Wells Child Life Activity Room in the pediatric intensive care unit," said Michael Fahy, Assistant Director of Community Affairs. "So kids are actually smiling more than they were a year ago before this event started."

The tournament will end Sunday.
