Sentencing in shooting death of Niagara University student
NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — The young man who killed a Niagara University student last December will spend 21 years to life in prison.
Gordon Jackson, 18, was sentenced Wednesday in Niagara County Court.
Jackson was found guilty of killing 20-year-old Brandon Johnson of Rochester with a sawed-off shotgun during a robbery at the Riverpointe apartment complex in December of 2011.
He had been charged with second degree murder and attempted robbery.
