Commuters heading eastbound out of downtown Rochester on Wednesday afternoon were faced with a huge traffic mess.

An 18-wheel tractor trailer rolled over, spilling its load across the eastbound lanes of Interstate 490, just east of downtown.

The wreck drew crowds at places like the Alexander Street overpass, where there was a clear view of the wreck.

State Police and the Rochester Fire Department responded. Traffic was being let through, but reduced to just one lane through the area, causing major backups.

No word on any injuries to the driver, or what caused the truck to roll over.
