It happened on East Elm Street in the Village of Penn Yan shorlty before midnight on Saturday. Police say the fight started as an argument between a group of individuals and escalated.

Police say 27-year old William Bailey stabbed two people. One suffered puncture wounds to his abdomen and was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight. The second victim was treated at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan.

Bailey is charged with assault and weapons possession.

Thomas Gordon, 28, is also charged with assault. He is being held without bail.

A third suspect, 22-year old Samantha Hansen, faces third degree assault charges. She was released.
