Chad Rahn Released from Prison
Former Irondequoit Police officer Chad Rahn has been released from prison.
Rahn was convicted of felony computer trespass, two misdemeanors of official misconduct and criminal facilitation.
According to the New York State Department of Corrections, Rahn was released on parole from Mid-state prison Thursday.
Rahn's family said he was released early because he built up merit time for good behavior.
Rahn was granted parole back in April.
He was accused of providing an acquaintance, Frank Arena, with information about the person who tipped off police about a marijuana growing operation in Arena's home.
Arena was later convicted of assaulting that person.
Rahn is the son of former Greece Police Chief Merritt Rahn, who is currently incarcerated for falsifying a background check and for covering up an officer related hit-and-run crash.
