Hundreds of supporters both canine and human alike came out for the annual Walk for MS at Genesee Valley park this Sunday.

The walk helps raise money for The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society Upstate New York Chapter.

Funds raised will support direct services for the more than 12,400 people with MS in Upstate New York. It also supports research in hopes to find a cure.

Erin Julian, a volunteer for the MS committee, said seeing the support of the services like this makes a huge difference for her mother who suffers from the disease.

"My mom's doing really really well, but without the national multiple sclerosis society and the support they've given her and my family, it might be a different story." Julian said.

The Upstate New York Chapter will holding Walk MS in 20 communities this spring.

They hope to raise over 1.4 million dollars.
