"Walk or Wheel for Better Bones" Event
A gathering was held at a Webster park on Saturday to help a local family keep the memory of their daughter alive and draw attention to a rare medical condition
"Walk or Wheel for Better Bones" is an annual event that honors an infant who passed away almost three years ago.
Five week old, Alle Shea Collazo, passed away from a rare medical condition called, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, otherwise known as brittle bone disease.
It is caused by a genetic mutation.
This is the fourth year that her parents have held the event in honor of their daughter.
Money raised at this event will go toward the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.
The couple said their little girl was a fighter and they will continue their fight to find a cure.
