A Bowl-A-Thon was held for a Rochester area baby who needs a kidney transplant.

Five month old Jovani Perez has renal failure due to being born with Eagle-Barrett syndrome.

The event was held at AMF Terrace Garden Lanes in Rochester, where people could donate to "Jovani's Journey." There was a bake sale, silent auctions, raffles and of course, bowling.

The five month old's father is hoping to raise enough money to help with the expenses that the insurance doesn't cover.

"He's got a long road. I think our end goal is $55,000, after insurance to pay for everything we're going to need to pay for. So, today is just a first big, big fundraiser we're trying to do," said Benjamin Perez, Jovani's Father.

The transplant that Jovani is waiting for, will take place at Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
