Police said emergency crews responded to the 100 block of Child Street near Maple Street just before 9:30 p.m. Friday for a report of a person shot.

Police said a man in his mid 20s was shot at least once in the chest. He was transported to Strong Hospital with injuries considered to be life threatening.

Police do not have any suspects is custody and their investigation is continuing.
