The annual "Pittsford Panthers Pink the Rink" hockey games took place Friday night at the MCC Sports Centre. The Pittsford Panthers hosted the Fairport Red Raiders.
The JV and Varsity hockey games are the culmination of the season long cancer awareness fundraising efforts. Both teams sported pink jerseys and socks as a show of support in the fight against breast cancer.
In addition to the games, there were special activities which included a "chuck a puck" contest, a performance by the University of Rochester pep band, as well as pink spirit wear sales of T-shirts, backpacks and bracelets.
All proceeds from the Pink games will benefit the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester.
