The rainy weather didn't deter this year's black music month celebration. The third annual event was held Saturday in Rochester.
Community members and music lovers alike gathered to enjoy the live bands and food vendors. The music selection ranged from rap to gospel and all genres in between.
For the first time, the event also recognized one musician who displays outstanding musical talent and community service.
"It's just a matter of time before they really realize that Rochester has a lot of good talent," said Rick Osborne, event organizer.
The event was broadcast live on the group's website.
