How deep do the problems run at 1 Bills Drive? Is it beyond front office personnel, coaches and players? Everyone knows the numbers. The team hasn't been to the playoffs since 1999, an era that has stretched through four head coaches, four general managers, and five starting quarterbacks. Is there simply a losing culture? And how does it get there?

"I think you create your culture within your organization," said Chan Gailey. "I think if you get enough people who believe in winning, then you can win. I think if you let outside influences sway you one way or the other, in the long run that's going to hurt you not help you."

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was quick to point out that when players change as much as they do, the lingering failure shouldn't continue just because of the uniform colors.

"In the NFL in this day and age, I think a lot of it is when you have constant turnover there's new guys who step in and step up, you kind of create your own identity every year."

To build a culture of winning would start by winning games within the division. The Bills are only 3-13 in the last three years against AFC East opponents. But, with two division games remaining, they have a chance to finish this year at 3-3.

"Not only just division games, but we're playing for more," said Stevie Johnson. "With coaches and positions, and players being here. So there's a lot to play for still."

"The biggest thing that's really important is going out and winning, especially at the end of the season," added Mario Williams. "You don't want to go out losing at the end of the season. These two games are very important to us, but the most important one is the one we have on Sunday."

Which is a chance to sweep the Dolphins for the first time since 2007.
