Coaches often tell their athletes, winning championships doesn't happen every year, savor the opportunity while you can.
One local college team culminated their Championship celebration on Sunday.
The 2012 Division 3 National Champion RIT women's hockey team had a breakfast ceremony at Locust Hill Country Club, where they were awarded their championship rings. After winning the title, the Tigers moved up to Division One for this season.
RIT defeated Norwich in March at home to claim the school's third National Championship and set a team record with 28 wins.
