Desperation Mode Sunday at the Ralph

By: Andy Young

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Sunday's matchup between the Bills (5-7) and Rams (5-6-1) pits a pair of teams on fringe of the playoff picture. Buffalo will have to jump over at least three teams in the final four weeks. St. Louis has five clubs in front of them for a trip to the postseason.

These are desperate times at Ralph Wilson Stadium -- a loss likely means the end of any chance at the playoffs. However, both squads come in a riding a little momentum. The Bills had the dominating performance last week against Jacksonville, while the Rams got a big overtime win over the 49ers. Yes, that's the same 49ers that rocked the Bills 45-3 back in Week 5.

"They are a strong offensive football team," said defensive tackle Kyle Williams. "They run and step up play action game and they do some good things. It will be a big test for us. Obviously they are fighting for their lives and so are we. It will be an intense game Sunday."
