Rochester Wins its Fourth Straight
Going for a four-game sweep, the Rochester Red Wings hosted Toledo before hitting the road for their next eight games.
But it was Toledo with the thunder sticks early on. Audy Ciriaco hit a home run to left for a 2-0 Mud Hens lead. They got it up to 5-1 at one point.
As they have the previous three games, the Red Wings came back. Three runs in the fourth, two coming on the Clete Thomas single.
A one-run game in the ninth and they did it again. Tsuyoshi Nishiok blooped a single to short left, Sean Burroughs scored the tying run, Rob Brantly's throw finds sails into a vacant center field. Nishioka scores from second.
Four straight come-from-behind wins for the Wings who head to Durham.
Red Wing Win 8-7.
Rochester wins 8 of its last 9 games and is now one game under .500, the Wings don't return home until July 24th, when they start a 4-game series against thruway rival Syracuse.
