Rhinos to Induct Three in Hall of Fame
Off to a great start to their season, the 6-0 Rochester Rhinos are home this Friday to face the Dayton Dutch Lions.
As for the best start in team history, the 1998 squad rattled off 13 straight to open the season. It is fitting then, that three members of that team are part of this years Hall of Fame class.
Craig Demmin, Doug Miller, and Pat Onstad will be inducted into the Rhinos Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 30th.
Defender Craig Demmin is the only four-time Most Valuable Player. The seven-year Rhinos veteran won two A-League Championships in 1998 and 2000.
Many consider goalkeeper Pat Onstad as the best keeper in Rhinos history. He won two A-League Championships in 1998 and 1999. After leaving Rochester, he went on to win three MLS Cups.
Forward Doug Miller is first in Rhinos regular season history with 75 goals and 166 points. His 15 multi-goal games and five hat tricks are club records. He was also on the '98 and '99 A-League championship teams.
All three were members of the 1999 US Open Cup championship team.
