Bills Work Out Vince Young
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Bills continue to evaluate adding depth at the quarterback position, and Wednesday, free agent Vince Young worked out for the team in Orchard Park.
The Bills need to determine if he'd be a viable backup in Buffalo, after Young spent the 2011 season behind Michael Vick in Philadelphia. Young got in on six games in Philly, and threw for 866 yards with four touchdowns and nine interceptions.
If he does join the Bills, Young will be on a team where seven players had more than 20 catches last year, including David Nelson, who caught 61 passes and worked out with Young Wednesday.
"I did grow up in Texas and watched a lot of his games at Texas," Nelson said. "I haven't been able to follow him too much in the NFL, but he's a dynamic quarterback. He brings something different with his leg and different style of play. I don't know what the coaching staff will do with him if they sign him, but he's a dynamic playmaker that you have to monitor at all times when he's on the field."
