Local Artist Follows Passion

Ronald Piccirillo is a graphic designer. A year ago he picked up a brush and created his first oil painting.

That experience opened a door to a new interest in Renaissance painting.

Renaissance painting has been studied for hundreds of years by scholars and artists, but Ronald discovered his own way of studying paintings.

By turning art at different angles and interpreting images at a new perspective he's noticed new scenes and imagery. While looking at the Mona Lisa he found animals in the background after turing the portrait upside down.

Now he uses the way he studies paintings to make paintings, turning the artwork at different angle to add more elements.
