Mercy Flight Founder Retires
The man who founded Mercy Flight Central is stepping down.

Paul Hyland, the CEO and long-time former president, has announced his retirement. Hyland founded Mercy Flight as a non-profit in 1992.

Mercy Flight provides air medical services within a 150 mile radius of its home bases in Canandaigua and Marcellus, New York.

The organization has grown to 50 employees and includes three helicopters and one turboprop jet airplane. It's New York's premier critical care air medical service and routinely handles pre-transplant and post transplant patients.

Neil Snedeker, president and current COO, will assume additional responsibilities including overall strategic and financial leadership of the organization.
