Constellation Completes Purchase of Crown Imports
Constellation brands in Ontario County has just completed the largest deal in the history of the company.
It purchased the remaining 50 percent interest in Crown Imports LLC from Anheuser-Busch. The price was $1.85 billion.
The purchase makes Constellation the third largest total beverage alcohol company in the U.S. Crown's brands include Corona Extra, Corona Light and Modelo Especial.
Constellation's president and CEO Rob Sands said quote... this "demonstrates the company's global and domestic leadership positions in the beverage industry."
