Rochester General Health System announced Wednesday it completed its purchase of the Linden Oaks Medical Campus.
The deal to acquire the almost 240,000 square feet of space in Penfield is worth $40 million.
RGH plans to expand its Lipson Cancer Center, create more space for primary care physicians and specialists, bring more imaging and lab services, and eventually add an urgent care center.
The purchase was finalized on three locations on Hagen Drive, and is almost complete on another location on Linden Oaks Drive that will become the new Ambulatory Surgery Center.
RGH expects the expansion will create hundreds of jobs over the next few years.
