A minority-owned title and escrow company-headquartered in Gates is expanding.

Closing USA just moved into a new space and says it will hire some 100 new employees this year.

The company moved into Kodak's former Elmgrove Road building. Empire State Development awarded a $150,000 grant to augment the company's $500,000 investment in the new facility.

Closing USA is a national title and escrow company with clients in 35 states. The company works in the real estate market providing refinancing and closing products and services.

"Some of the incentives certainly leveled the playing field. We are very very dedicated to the Rochester area. I consider it my home, all of our employees consider it our home, so we are looking forward to growing in Rochester," said Elliot Foo, president and CEO of Closing USA.

Closing USA opened 10 years ago with 22 employees. It now employs more than 80.

The company says it will hire close to 100 new employees this year with the addition of an appraisal division.
