Four Arrested in Connection with Credit Card Thefts
Four Brooklyn residents were charged in Wyoming County with using stolen credit card information to buy merchandise.
A state trooper based in Warsaw says he pulled over a car Saturday on Route 63 in Covington and found the driver to be unlicensed. The three passengers had various forms of ID on them with other people's names. A vehicle search turned up a large quantity of jewelry, electronics and other new merchandise.
Investigators say they went to several Erie County stores and bought the items with stolen credit card information.
All four suspects were charged with possession of stolen property.
The suspects were arraigned in Warsaw Town Court. They are being held in the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.
