Girl Scout camps in the process of being sold
WESTERN NEW YORK — Several Girl Scouts Camps in the area are in the process of being sold as part of the final stage of a distribution plan.
Camp Pinewood in Dansville, Camp Oak Orchard in Medina and Camp Sky Hill in Orchard Park will be sold to help the organization reduce costs and maximize resources.
The girls will be able to use other nearby camps and bus transportation is available.
The organization says significant improvements were required at the camps in order to continue using the properties.
Other phases of the plan included the sale and relocation of the Buffalo Service Center, the sale of Camp Zoar Valley and the relocation of the Batavia Service Center.
The sale and relocation of the Rochester Service Center is in progress.
