Rep. Collins calls sequester fight 'sideshow'
WASHINGTON, D.C. — On the floor of the House, Congressman Chris Collins called the sequester fight a "sideshow" and a "blatant attempt to raise taxes" instead of making responsible spending cuts.
The Clarence Republican said on Wednesday the people of Western New York know trying to spend our way out of this problem is no solution.
"They are waiting, not so patiently anymore, to cut the waste before we hand over even more of their pay check to the bureaucrats and the Federal Government," said Collins, (R).
Collins called on the President to stop the scare tactics and offer a real solution.
