Sabres' Fan Appreciation Sale breaks records
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres may be on the road, but the team is still winning at home after hosting an overwhelmingly successful Fan Appreciation Sale last weekend.
The team says the seven-day sale, which had some people waiting in lines for hours, broke records.
Nearly 50,000 pieces of merchandise were sold, including more than 8,000 jerseys and 9,000 hats.
Sabres President Ted Black says the community pride means more than words can describe.
