BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills got one step closer to securing that 10-year lease officials announced last month.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and team officials met with the county legislature Tuesday to discuss the team's Memorandum of Understanding, which outline the terms of the lease.

The MOU includes the team's non-relocation agreement and renovations to Ralph Wilson Stadium; all of which will need to be approved by the county legislature soon in order to receive the approval of the NFL.

"It's important that the legislature approve it at it's next full body meeting because at that point it will then go to the NFL and the NFL will see that the county's approved it, the state's approved it and now it's up to them. And once they approve it, we move forward and start doing the work we need to do," said Poloncarz, (D).

County legislators plan to do a walk-through of Ralph Wilson Stadium later this week. They're expected to vote on the memorandum January 24th.
