New look to the race for Congress

A new job for Ann Marie Buerkle could change the outlook for the race for Congress in the 24th District in 2014. Buerkle has been nominated to fill a republican seat on the Federal Consumer Protection Board. If approved by the Senate, her term would run through 2018. The move was read as a decision by Buerkle to step away from yet another run for Congress, although she says a candidacy is still an option.
